The Republic of Moldova exported IT and business services worth about 670 million dollars in 2021
This year, the value of the export of IT services and business services will be around 670 million dollars, says the economic expert, Veaceslav Ioniță. The economist noted that for five years there has been a tenfold increase, especially in IT services.
"We don't have another sector in the economy that exports so much. It is an unobserved economy that we have not drawn attention to. In 2001-2005 IT services, the average annual exports, were one million dollars. Business services were the export of 23 million. This year, business services we have an estimated 140 million dollars of imports and 190 million dollars of exports, IT services- $480 million. All we need is to create parks for business services similar to the one in IT and the tax regime to be like the IT service. Currently, the world is fighting for IT, for business services", explained economic expert Veaceslav Ioniță. Veaceslav Ioniță said that currently, the Republic of Moldova exports 90% of IT services. According to the expert, thousands of people work in this field, who receive a monthly salary of two thousand dollars.
