Romanian Language Day events in Moldovan capital
In the centre of Chișinău, Moldova, a series of cultural events are being held today to mark Romanian Language Day. The events will begin with a flower-laying ceremony, followed by a public reading, a theatre performance, and a concert featuring Cătălin Josan, Brio Sonores, Radu Dolgan, Natalia Barbu, Tania Cerga, Mariana Bulicanu, and others.
The events dedicated to the National Holiday "Romanian Language Day" will be held in the center of the capital, on the pedestrian street "Eugen Doga." The start of the celebration will be marked by flower-laying ceremonies at the monuments of the poet Mihai Eminescu, in the Square of the National Theater "Mihai Eminescu" and on the Alley of Classics in the Public Garden "Ștefan cel Mare și Sfânt." Starting at 4 p.m., a public reading program for children "Books come to life" will take place on the pedestrian street "Eugen Doga," and an hour later, primary school students are invited to participate in the poetry recital contest.
At 7 p.m., also on the pedestrian street Eugen Doga, the musical show "In the same language" will take place, featuring several established artists.
Accompanied by the Symphony Orchestra conducted by master Dumitru Cârciumaru, the concert will feature several artists, including: Mariana Bulicanu, Cristina Scarlat, Natalia Barbu, Cătălin Josan, Radu Dolgan, Adriana Babin, Tania Cerga, Brio Sonores, Vitalie and Cătălin Advahov.
The musical program will be combined with a poetry recital presented by Nicolae Jelescu.
