Russian drone parts found on Romanian territory, President Iohannis expresses concern
In an official statement on Wednesday, Romanian President Klaus Iohannis expressed deep concern over the possible discovery of Russian drone components on Romanian territory, describing it as a serious violation of sovereignty.
The discovery of parts believed to belong to a Russian drone occurred shortly after Ukrainian authorities claimed that Russian drones had exploded on Romanian soil, a NATO member state.
"If it is confirmed that these components belong to a Russian drone, such a situation would be unacceptable and a grave violation of Romania's sovereignty and territorial integrity," President Iohannis stated at the outset of the Three Seas Initiative summit.
Of significance, fragments of a Russian drone have been discovered on Romanian soil, a detail confirmed by Defense Minister Angel Tîlvăr.
