Majority of global respondents view Russia as a threat

A new international study has found that a majority of respondents in 36 countries around the world believe that Russia is a global threat. The study, titled "Best Countries," was published by the U.S. News & World Report and was conducted between March 17 and June 12.

The study found that 72% of respondents believe that Russia is a global threat. This number is even higher in countries bordering Russia, such as Finland (93%), Japan (92%), Poland (91%), and Denmark (90%).

The study also found that Switzerland, Canada, Sweden, Australia, and the United States are the "best" countries, followed by Japan, Germany, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, and the Netherlands. Russia ranks 37th in the ranking, while Ukraine is in 68th place.

The study's authors note that the results may have been influenced by the ongoing war in Ukraine. They also note that Russia did not participate in the survey for the second year in a row.
