Russian citizen denied entry to Moldova with fake Ukrainian passport
A Russian citizen was denied entry to Moldova on September 28, 2023, after presenting a fake Ukrainian passport at the Chisinau International Airport.
According to the Moldovan Border Police, the man, who is 51 years old, was travelling in transit through Moldova on a flight from Istanbul. He intended to travel to Ukraine.
The man presented the fake passport in addition to his Russian passport. Border police officers conducted an investigation and determined that the document was counterfeit.
As a result, the Russian citizen was denied entry to Moldova.
