Moldovan president calls for improved education

Moldovan President Maia Sandu has said that improving the quality of education is a top priority for her government. Sandu made the remarks at the National Forum of Teachers, which is being held in the capital today.

"We have a duty to prepare our young people for a world that is constantly changing," Sandu said. "We need to ensure that they can understand and solve complex problems, and that they can adapt quickly to new and uncertain conditions. I want to work together to fulfil our common mission of raising successful children who can build a happy future here at home. The education we provide to our children today will directly impact the quality of life for future generations, and the ability of our state to provide good living conditions in the decades to come."

Participants at the forum will discuss educational innovations, opportunities and challenges, and best practices from Moldova and other countries. They will also discuss how these practices can be adopted and scaled up so that every child can reach their full potential.

According to organisers, over 400 teachers and school administrators are attending the event.
