The need to request the loan of 100 million euros from the European Investment Bank was dictated by the increase in the prices of construction materials, due to the crises. The money will be spent, both for the completion of the works initiated within the project, and for the repair and construction of national road networks. Asked to refer to the Chisinau city ring road, the Secretary of State at the Ministry of Infrastructure and Regional Development, Lilia Dabija, mentioned that in the first days of next year, the first segment of the ring road would have a length of 6.5 km.

"For sectors two and three, we have already signed and ratified the agreement of over 150 million with the EIB. We have the money. In the next year, sectors two and three are to be built and rehabilitated. For sectors four, five and six, we requested, through the grant offered by the European Commission, the development of the feasibility study".

In the report of the Economy, Budget and Finance Commission, Valentina Manic stated that the loan will be disbursed in 20 instalments.

"The amount of each tranche will be 4 million euros or the entire unused balance of the loan in the case of a smaller amount. The resources are intended for the financing of national road rehabilitation works, the provision of consultancy services and the technical supervision of the works".

Several deputies, both from the parliamentary majority and from the opposition, proposed that the field of road construction should remain a priority, because the attraction of tourists and investments depends a lot on their quality.

Radio Moldova recalls that in 2013, our country signed a financing contract with the European Investment Bank, which provided for the granting of a loan in the amount of 150 million euros for the realisation of the "Moldova roads III" project.
