Children with Romanian citizenship from the Republic of Moldova will receive higher allowances starting in 2024
Children with Romanian citizenship in the Republic of Moldova will enjoy higher allowances from the Romanian state starting January 1, 2024. A document providing for the increase was promulgated by President Klaus Iohannis, Moldova 1 TV reports.
Considering the increase in the price of food and services, the Bucharest Executive decided that the allowance for children up to two years old should increase to 718 Roni, which would mean about two thousand seven hundred MDL.
For children aged two to 18, the allowance reached 291 Roni - about one thousand one hundred MDL.
Since June 2021, Bucharest has decided that the child allowance will be indexed annually with the average inflation rate, starting from 2023.
