"We don't need anything, just air defense." Zelensky says that Ukrainians will return to the country only if they are protected

Ukrainians who went to other countries because of the war will start to return home and work for the good of their country if Ukraine has enough anti-aircraft defense to protect them, Kyiv leader Volodymyr Zelensky said in an interview with The Sun.

“We don't need anything — just front-line air defense. The (Biden - ed.) administration is helping, Europe is helping, but it's not enough. It's really not enough, because, for example, I know that if the largest cities in Ukraine had total air defense for their regions - not only for the city, but also for the territories around them - then we would return practically all our people from different countries. If they come back they would work and pay taxes. And probably this would not be enough, but it would practically fill the gap in our budget and we would not need so much money and financial assistance from states and European partners".

In his call, the Ukrainian president said that Kiev would find a way to buy, lease or jointly produce weapons if allies no longer wanted to provide them for free, but for that they needed to have air defenses that would allow the Ukrainians to return home. "We are fighting for the common good. And this is very important. But we are losing our people - not the Europeans, not the Americans. Of course, I don't want you to make such a mistake on your territory and lose your soldiers. But we, the strongest of those countries that were in the USSR many years ago, are the strongest - and therefore, if they destroy us, they will start occupying NATO countries. Very quickly. The Baltic countries, Poland and others".

At the same time, the leader from Kiev told The Sun publication that Russia wants to remove him from the position of president of Ukraine by the end of 2023, for which it invented a destabilization plan under the provisional name "Maidan-3".

We remind you that on February 24, 2022, Russia launched a military aggression against Ukraine. Since then, millions of people have fled the war, taking refuge in EU countries and the Republic of Moldova.
