Maia Sandu had a meeting with the head of the National Financial Prosecutor of France, who is visiting Chisinau

The development of the Republic of Moldova depends on the speed and quality with which the cases of major corruption and tax fraud are worked on, especially on cases that have harmed the state and citizens. A statement to this effect was made by the head of state Maia Sandu at a meeting with Jean-François Bohnert, Head of the National Financial Prosecution Office (PNF) of France, who is visiting Chisinau. The arrival in our country of the mission led by the French official will increase the institutional and operational cooperation between the PNF and the relevant authorities from our country, said Maia Sandu.

"Taking over the good practices of the French institution in the field of criminal prosecution will help Moldovan prosecutors to be more effective in solving cases of high-level corruption, money laundering and complex tax evasion. The head of state appreciated the openness of the French authorities to help us advance the cases of recovery of criminal assets to Moldova", reads the press release of the Presidency.

The National Financial Prosecution Office of France has national jurisdiction over the most complex and serious economic and financial crimes.
