Moldova, Slovakia reaffirm partnership amid regional tensions

Moldovan Prime Minister Dorin Recean and his Slovak counterpart Robert Fico held an online meeting on December 4 to discuss ways to strengthen bilateral ties, boost economic cooperation, and advance Moldova's European integration aspirations.

The two premiers underscored their commitment to invigorating the dialogue between their respective nations, exploring avenues to expand economic and investment partnerships. Prime Minister Recean expressed gratitude for Slovakia's steadfast support through the SlovakAid program and its contributions to the Energy Vulnerability Fund's online platform.

Acknowledging Moldova's progress towards European integration, Prime Minister Fico reiterated Slovakia's unwavering support for Moldova's European path. The meeting highlighted the importance of collaboration in addressing shared challenges, particularly in light of regional security concerns stemming from Russia's ongoing invasion of Ukraine.
