The Republic of Moldova is making progress in the field of human rights, statement
In the last three years, the Republic of Moldova has managed to achieve good results in terms of adopted public policies that regulate human rights, the People's Advocate, Ceslav Panico, said today at the Human Rights and Equality Forum.
According to him, there are still areas that need to be improved.
"According to the latest study, the perception of human rights 2023, the right to health, education, are among the most violated rights that require increased attention from society. Such study reconfirms the need to ensure equality and discrimination. We mean the specific problems faced by various groups of vulnerable and marginalized people including people with disabilities, people with HIV of Roma ethnicity and non-citizens. These people face various impediments, such as reduced accessibility to medical and social services", said Ceslav Panico.
We remind that the Human Rights and Equality Forum is being held today in Chisinau, being organized on the occasion of the International Human Rights Day and the "16 days of activism against gender-based violence" Campaign.
