The European Commission will offer Romania 126 million euros to support investments in ports
The European Commission has approved state aid worth 126 million euros to support investments in Romanian ports that are facing an increase in trade flows as a result of the war launched by Russia against Ukraine, reads a press release from the European executive, quoted by G4media.
The measure facilitates trade flows to and from Ukraine, in line with the objectives of the EU Solidarity Lanes Action Plan.
The money will be allocated in the form of grants of up to 10 million euros for logistics companies operating in the Romanian maritime and inland ports located on the eastern border of the European Union, on the Danube-Black Sea canal, the Sulina canal or the "satellite" ports " of Constanta.
