Great Britain and the Republic of Moldova signed the Air Services Agreement
The agreement on air services was signed in London by the British Secretary for Transport, Mark Harper, and the Minister of Infrastructure and Regional Development of the Republic of Moldova, Andrei Spanu. The document regulates air transport services and boosts the development of air traffic between the two countries.
According to the British Embassy in Chisinau, the agreement allows all airlines from the UK and the Republic of Moldova to operate direct flights between any airport in the UK and the Republic of Moldova.
The document was developed as a result of the United Kingdom's exit from the EU, maintaining connectivity and supporting the mutually beneficial development of trade and economic relations between these two countries.
The agreement provides for mutual benefits and fair competition between the parties, which allows the airlines to determine the frequency and capacity of air transport, and possibly to increase the number of flights.
"The UK is proud to promote modern air connections with the Republic of Moldova and to help consumers access more efficient and affordable services. This makes the bilateral relationship between our countries stronger", reads the press release of the British Embassy in Chisinau.
