More than 40 criminal cases in the customs field, sent to court in 2022
As many as 49 criminal cases in the customs field, with seizures applied in the amount of approximately 46 million lei, were sent to court in 2022, announces the Customs Service jointly with the Prosecutor's Office for Combating Organized Crime and Special Cases (PCCOCS).
The figure of seizures covers both smuggling crimes with various goods, as well as transport units used to commit the crimes, including the financial means derived from the criminal activity. Moreover, in 2023, the investigative authority continues to investigate criminal acts in the customs field in another 113 files.
