New Testing Centers Streamline Driver's License Process in Moldova
Future drivers in Moldova will now take their category B practical driving exams at two newly opened centres.
Additionally, the Public Services Agency (ASP) will offer provisional driving licences at its multifunctional centres without requiring appointments.
The two examination centres were opened this week in the Buiucani and Rîșcani sectors, announced Mircea Eșanu, director of the ASP. Initially, applicants can choose their preferred test location; however, a randomised system will eventually assign candidates to one of the three centres.
After passing the theory exam, successful candidates can immediately obtain their provisional licence at any multifunctional centre in Chișinău. The licence will also be integrated into the EVO mobile application.
"This change eliminates the need for newly qualified drivers to return for their provisional licence," Eșanu explained.
The ASP further announced that applicants can now submit appeals against driving test results online within 30 days of their practical exam. Approximately 300 appeals were filed in 2023, an increase from 2022. Of those, 70 were withdrawn, with examiners' grades being changed in 9 cases.
ASP data indicates that over 88,000 individuals took practical and theoretical driving tests last year.
