"We are increasingly digitizing the business environment and public administrations. This is how we will help small entrepreneurs, medium-sized companies to be more competitive and improve their businesses with the help of advanced digital technology. Before being EU citizens, we can become digital citizens of the European Union even faster", said Dumitru Alaiba.

According to the website of the European Commission, this program aims to bring digital technology closer to businesses, citizens and public administrations. The Digital Europe program proposes to boost economic recovery and to outline the digital transformation of Europe's society and economy, bringing benefits to everyone, but especially to small and medium-sized enterprises, reports the quoted source.

The program supports projects in five key areas of capacity: supercomputing, artificial intelligence, cyber security, advanced digital skills, implementation and accessibility of digital technologies.
