Poland to unblock border for Ukraine aid, PM says
The Polish-Ukrainian border will soon be unblocked to ensure the swift passage of military and humanitarian aid, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk has announced, as cited by Unian.
To guarantee the timely delivery of aid, Warsaw will designate roads and railways leading to Ukraine as critical infrastructure.
"We will designate border checkpoints with Ukraine, along with specific road and rail sections, as critical infrastructure. This change will be implemented within hours," Tusk stated.
The Prime Minister explained that this decision will introduce a different operational structure on affected roads and highways. He emphasised that there have been minimal disruptions to the transportation of aid to Ukraine thus far.
Additionally, it's important to note that Polish farmers have again blocked road traffic since February 22nd.
