Dorin Recean: Corruption is a direct threat to democracy and our national security
Visions regarding anti-corruption policies, legislative changes in recent years and the need to coordinate actions were the topics discussed at the second meeting of the Anti-corruption Platform, which took place at the Ministry of Justice. Prime Minister Dorin Recean emphasized that the institutions responsible for fighting corruption must cooperate and act as efficiently as possible, for the benefit of all citizens of the country.

The Prime Minister said that, on our way to European integration, fighting corruption and ensuring the independence and integrity of the justice sector is a basic priority.
“Corruption is a direct threat to our democracy and national security. We also see this through the activity of corrupt groups who are trying to stop our efforts to reform the justice system and hold accountable those who stole the country. Our task is to strengthen our efforts, so that the law applies equally to everyone", said Prime Minister Dorin Recean.
The Anticorruption Platform is an advisory body in the field of anti-corruption and corruption-related matters, created under the Ministry of Justice. It was established to make the policy coordination process more efficient in the field, the active involvement of authorities and institutions in solving problems, but also to facilitate communication and inter-institutional cooperation.
