Cristina Gherasimov Discusses European Integration and Norwegian Aid to Moldova
The Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration, Cristina Gherasimov, met with a delegation led by Siri Beate Barry, the Norwegian Ambassador to the Republic of Moldova based in Bucharest.
According to a government statement, the discussion focused on the European integration agenda and the progress made in this regard by the authorities in Chișinău, as well as on the development and modernization priorities of the country set by the Government.
Cristina Gherasimov expressed gratitude for the assistance provided to the Republic of Moldova by Norway, especially within the framework of the Nansen program. More specifically, this concerns approximately 50 million euros announced by the Prime Minister of Norway, Jonas Gahr Støre, at the Bulboaca Summit, as well as another 35 million euros, which will be used to strengthen the energy security of the Republic of Moldova.
