Ramstein Meeting Tackles Russia's Threats to Moldova
The current security situation in the region, the Russian Federation's aggression in Ukraine, as well as strengthening the defence capabilities of the Republic of Moldova and increasing its national resilience to security challenges were discussed at the meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group, held at Ramstein Air Base.
According to a press release from the Ministry of Defense, during the meeting, Minister Anatolie Nosatîi discussed with counterparts from partner states the hybrid war being waged by the Russian Federation against the Republic of Moldova. This includes cyberattacks and disinformation campaigns, and their impact on the country's security and development.
Officials agreed upon the need to maintain a constant dialogue between defence institutions to establish new avenues of cooperation.
The Ukraine Defense Contact Group is an international platform for defence ministers from NATO allied and partner countries. It serves to disseminate information regarding the assistance provided to Ukraine.
