Natalia Gavrilița will ask Andrei Spînu to publish the contract concluded with the Cuciurgan Power Plant
Natalia Gavrilița announced that she will ask the Ministry of Infrastructure and Regional Development to make public the data from the Electricity Supply Contract concluded between Energocom and the Cuciurgan Power Plant. According to her, the parts of the contract, which will be considered trade secret, will be crossed out.
Natalia Gavrilița also said that the most important terms such as price and quantity have already been communicated. We remind you that the Chisinau authorities decided at the beginning of December to cede to the Transnistrian region the entire volume of gas delivered by "Gazprom", in exchange for the purchase of electricity from the Cuciurgan plant. Later, the contract was extended for four months. According to the data announced by "Energocom", in January the minimum amount to be procured will be 251 thousand MWh, and the maximum - 263 thousand MWh, compared to 204 thousand MWh in December 2022. The electricity purchase price remains unchanged - $73/MWh. Thus, the electricity procured from the left bank of the Nistru for January will constitute 86% of the consumption requirements of the right bank of the Nistru, in addition to the energy produced from renewable sources and CETs.
