The Republic of Moldova and Hungary signed on Thursday, April 4, a Memorandum of Cooperation in the field of agriculture. The document involves the collaboration of relevant institutions from the two countries in order to support the investments of Hungarian companies in our country.

The Hungarian Minister of Agriculture, Istvan Nagy, assured that this Memorandum will expand the investments of Hungarian entrepreneurs in the Republic of Moldova. Also, the official from Budapest expressed his country's commitment to support Chisinau in the European integration process.

"This memorandum of understanding ensures that relations between the two countries are good, in order to expand investments in the Republic of Moldova. Hungary will give all the support to the Republic of Moldova in connection with the process of accession to the European Union", declared the Hungarian minister. For his part, Deputy Prime Minister Vladimir Bolea said that the Republic of Moldova can offer more opportunities to international economic agents to develop business here.

"The signing of this memorandum will mean for the 44 economic agents originally from Hungary and for all others who will come to the Republic of Moldova a firm conviction about the possibilities they have to develop their businesses. Today we are developing animal husbandry together with our Hungarian colleagues. Our bilateral diplomatic relations between the Republic of Moldova and Hungary have always been on a continuous growth", mentioned Vladimir Bolea.

The Republic of Moldova, as a candidate country for the European Union from June 2022, expressed its firm commitment to take advantage of the development initiatives financially supported by the community bloc, thus contributing to the European integration process, according to the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry.
