Auditors from NATO countries to work at Ukraine's Defence Ministry
A coordination advisory body for the Internal Audit Department called the Audit Committee has been established at Ukraine's Defence Ministry, which includes internal auditors from NATO member states, Ukrainska Pravda reports.
"The committee is one of the components of the new model for financial control reform in Ukraine's Defence Ministry. The committee includes certified internal auditors from NATO member states and Ukraine, with extensive experience in providing internal audit services.
The Audit Committee is established for consultation and consideration of issues related to the conduct of internal audit activities, preparation of recommendations for improving its work in the Defence Ministry and maintaining high public trust in the Ministry as a state institution. It will strengthen the function of internal audit and meanwhile will be a body that develops its functionality."
