In the first quarter, prices of agricultural products in peasant households fell by 20 percent

Prices for agricultural products in enterprises and peasant households were lower by more than 20 percent in January-March compared to the same period last year, according to data from the National Bureau of Statistics.

Vegetable products had lower prices on average by 26.5 percent, and animal products became cheaper by 0.6 percent. The prices of cereals and oilseeds decreased the most, by more than 30 percent, and vegetables are sold at lower prices by 28 percent.

Also, the prices of fruits and berries increased by more than 12 percent, and potatoes went up by almost 5 percent. In terms of livestock production, poultry are sold at prices over 5 percent lower, and eggs are down 1.2 percent.

On the other hand, sales prices for sheep and goats increased by almost 30 percent, by 4.6 percent in cattle and by more than 2 percent in pigs.
