Government Counters Disinformation: MEC Refutes Military Camp Allegations

Amidst the digital realm, a video is circulating alleging that the Ministry of Education and Research (MEC) intends to establish a military-themed camp for children, with several students purportedly engaging in militaristic activities, including weapons training, commencing on June 1st.

The implicated institution refutes these claims, denoting them as "false."

MEC explicitly states in a communication that they will petition the competent authorities to identify those accountable for fabricating and disseminating these falsifications within the public domain, with the intent of misleading citizens.

"The Government's spokesperson, Daniel Vodă, declared that sponsored video clips, promoting falsehoods and concocted narratives in Romanian, have surfaced on websites hosting pirated movies. It is evident that these clips are integral to a disinformation campaign," asserted Vodă.

Citizens are advised to equip their electronic devices with ad-blocking extensions, meticulously scrutinise information sources, and promptly report any spurious content.
