Adrian Baluțel: The authorities of the Republic of Moldova have not received the European Commission Report

The authorities of the Republic of Moldova have not received and have not seen the European Commission's Report on the fulfillment of the conditionality in order to be able to launch the EU accession negotiations, not even its draft, as written in the media, said in the "Parallel 47" show from the national radio station, the state secretary of the Government Chancellery, Adrian Baluțel.

According to him, the launch of negotiations for the accession of the Republic of Moldova to the European Union does not depend on this report. "The report itself cannot be positive or negative, it only evaluates and presents us with a state of affairs, from which we must start the process of adjusting the legislation. The report will influence the decision regarding the opening or non-opening for negotiations and is a starting point for the authorities of the Republic of Moldova to engage in a roadmap for alignment with EU legislation in a new candidate country format," said Adrian Baluțel. We remind you that the media publicized the information of a draft report of the European Commission, which indicates that the Republic of Moldova records worse results than Ukraine and Georgia in the application of European legislation. According to the document, the Chisinau authorities are at the initial stage or have a certain level of preparation in implementing the community acquis or European legislation in almost all chapters of cooperation with the EU. We remind you that the Minister of Foreign Affairs Nicu Popescu mentioned that the European Commission (EC) Report, which aims at the level of transposition of the EU acquis in the legislation of our country, is for now an internal document and is to be officially published later, in January .
