EU Grants €2 Million to Boost Moldova Law Enforcement

The European Union will grant €2 million to Moldova to bolster the professionalism of its law enforcement agencies.

The funds will be disbursed over three years starting in July through the EU4Public Order project, signed in Chisinau on Monday, June 17.

Jānis Mažeiks, the EU Ambassador to Moldova, who attended the signing ceremony, announced that the project will enhance the institutional and operational capabilities of law enforcement, with a particular focus on the carabinieri. The initiative will also promote human rights.

Interior Minister Adrian Efros added that the strategic partnership with the EU will enable Moldova to modernise its digital infrastructure and improve the efficiency of services for its citizens.
