Republic of Moldova signed the Association Agreement with the EU 10 years ago
The Republic of Moldova marks 10 years since the signing of the Association Agreement with the European Union (EU). The deputy-prime minister for European integration, Cristina Gherasimov, mentioned that in this decade our country got numerous advantages, among which deep and comprehensive free trade, the export of Moldovan products to the European market, the integration of the state into the EU energy market.
"This major step closer to Europe brought, in the decade that followed, numerous advantages to our country and to each citizen," Cristina Gherasimov wrote on her social media page.
Gherasimov also noted that the Republic of Moldova started the accession process of Moldovan banks to the Common Euro Payments Area, citizens of the country travel without visas in the Community area, and young people study, based on European programs, in the best universities in Europe.
In the last 10 years, the Republic of Moldova has benefited from significant financial support from the European Union, which helps to modernize the country and to increase the quality of life of the people and participates in most of the programs of the community block.
