A 40-year-old Romanian citizen, who committed a crime on Romanian territory, was extradited to the Leușeni - Albița State Border Crossing Point on June 28.
According to a press release from the Border Police, this April, the man was detained at the Chisinau International Airport based on the INTERPOL alert, at the request of the Romanian authorities.
Later, the extradition decision was taken by the court of the Republic of Moldova on this case.
The accused is suspected of having committed a crime on the territory of Romania provided for by art. 193 paragraph (2) (intentionally inflicting serious injuries on a group of people) Criminal Code of Romania.
