Mihai Popșoi attends the NATO Summit in Washington: He will have several meetings
Deputy Prime Minister Mihai Popșoi, Minister of Foreign Affairs, is paying, between July 9-11, a working visit to the United States of America (USA) to participate in a series of activities within the NATO Summit in Washington.
The head of Moldovan diplomacy will take part, at the invitation of the US Secretary of State, Antony Blinken, in the ceremonies dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the creation of the North Atlantic Alliance and will give a speech at the "NATO Partnerships" forum.
Also, Mihai Popșoi will have a series of meetings with counterparts and officials from NATO member countries and partner countries.
During the discussions, the deputy prime minister will reiterate the national interest of the Republic of Moldova in strengthening the traditional and credible partnership with the North Atlantic Alliance.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mihai Popșoi will emphasize the importance of promoting democratic reforms in the field of national resilience, under the conditions of an international security environment in continuous transformation, especially affected by geopolitical crises in the region and the world.
This year, the Republic of Moldova marks 30 years since the establishment of the partnership with the North Atlantic Alliance and 10 years since the launch of our country's participation in the KFOR peacekeeping operation in Kosovo.
