NATO Launches Ukraine Support Command Center in Germany

A NATO command centre to coordinate support for Ukraine will commence operations in Germany from September, announced NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg today at the European Political Community summit, as reported by Reuters.

The centre will be staffed by 700 personnel in Germany and will provide support and security assistance to Ukraine, while overseeing NATO allies' efforts.

During the Washington summit, allies agreed to establish the NATO Security Assistance and Training Program (NSATU) to enhance coordination in supplying military equipment and training to Ukraine.

Additionally, the allies pledged long-term security assistance to Ukraine, committing to a minimum target of 40 billion euros in the coming year.
