Moldovan schools to choose 2024-2025 year inauguration dates

The festivity marking the start of the 2024-2025 academic year may be organised by schools on either Sunday, September 1, or Monday, September 2.

Each institution is responsible for making its own decision regarding the date and time of the ceremony and the first lesson, following consultation with the school community. The Ministry of Education and Research has issued a circular allowing educational institutions the flexibility to select the timing of these events.

The inaugural lesson will be titled "Together for Peace" and will be compulsory for all public and private schools.

To facilitate the organisation and delivery of this thematic lesson, class tutors have been provided with teaching resources that are suitable for the students' age group. These materials have been developed with the support of the Council of Europe.
