Yellow Code fire danger warning issued for August 31 to September 6
The Moldovan State Hydrometeorological Service has issued a Yellow Code fire danger warning for the entire country, effective from August 31 to September 6.
During this period, an exceptional risk of fire is anticipated over large areas due to weather conditions conducive to the spread of fires.
Authorities are urging the public to exercise extreme caution and avoid activities that could ignite fires, particularly in areas of dry vegetation and forests. Any fire outbreak must be reported immediately to prevent the spread of fires and potential material or environmental damage.
The State Hydrometeorological Service announced a hydrological drought on Thursday. This warning remains in effect from Friday, August 30, through September 5.
