Romanian Film Days in Chisinau
The most appreciated Romanian films of the last year, selected at renowned international festivals such as Cannes, Venice and Berlin, will be premiered in the Republic of Moldova, during the tenth edition of the Romanian Film Days (ZFR) in Chisinau. The event, which will take place between September 26 and 29, promises to offer the audience in Chisinau and other cities an unforgettable cinema experience.
"ZFR brings to the public in Chisinau and other cities both current Romanian films and retrospectives from the history of Romanian film. The program is structured in five sections: New films, Focus, Retro, children's films and student films", said the director Dumitru Grosei, organizer of the event, during the "Zi de Zi" show from Radio Moldova.
This year, for the first time, a "Co-productions" section was included.
"We will present to the public two films made by teams from both Romania and the Republic of Moldova. It is about the film "Black House", directed by Dumitru Grosei and "Warboy", directed by Marian Crișan. Actors from both banks of the Prut play in both films. Members of the production team will be present at the event. The "Focus" section will feature filmmaker Cristi Puiu, considered by critics to be one of the most important filmmakers of the last 20 years," added the director.
"Romanian Film Days in Chisinau" will take place between September 26-29. Screenings will be free and will be followed by discussions with directors, actors and producers.
Also, this year ZFR will be organized in other towns of the Republic of Moldova, such as Hâncești, Nisporeni, Călărași, Orhei, Ungheni, Florești, Bălți, Căuşeni and Cahul. The films will be subtitled in English.
