Tense situation in the Middle East: Moldovans in Lebanon request the evacuation of their families

In connection with the tense situation in Lebanon, the Embassy of the Republic of Moldova in the Lebanese Republic, based in Ankara, recently received and continues to receive several requests from Moldovan citizens who live there, requesting help in their evacuation from Lebanon. Currently, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Moldova together with the Embassy of the Republic of Moldova are making efforts for the emergency evacuation of our citizens, the representatives of the Embassy of the Republic of Moldova in Lebanon, based in Ankara, told the Public Broadcaster "Teleradio Moldova".

In this context, the authorities of the Republic of Moldova cooperate very closely with the Ukrainian authorities, as well as with the authorities of other states.

We remind you that the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) began a limited ground operation in southern Lebanon on Tuesday, in the context of the conflict with the militant group Hezbollah, supported by Iran. The CNA officers, together with the prosecutors, carried out more than 50 searches today at the offices, homes and cars of 20 people in Comrat. The actions were held as part of an investigation into money laundering, falsification of financial reports and illegal financing of a political party.
