Moldova goes digital: Green Card now online

Moldova is embracing digitalization with the introduction of the digital "Green Card" insurance certificate. This international document, essential for Moldovan motorists travelling abroad, is now available in a user-friendly digital format.

While both paper and digital versions will be accepted until the end of 2024, the government is transitioning to a fully digital system starting from 2025. This move is expected to streamline processes and improve efficiency for both drivers and public institutions.

By adopting the digital Green Card, Moldova is aligning itself with global trends in digitization and making it easier for its citizens to travel abroad with their vehicles.

Over 79,600 Romanian citizens cast their right to vote, by this time, at polling stations opened for the first round of the presidential elections taking place over three days. At the 59 polling stations opened in the Republic of Moldova, 12,600 citizens voted today.
