Moldova weather alert: Cold snap, snow, and icy roads ahead
Starting Thursday, temperatures will drop, with snow forecast for the northern part of the country. Ghenadie Roșca, head of the Meteorological Forecast Department, told Radio Moldova that cold air cyclones will affect the Republic of Moldova from November 21st, leading to icy road conditions.
Roșca expects two rounds of southern cyclones, starting on November 21st and 22nd, bringing sleet across the country. Nighttime temperatures will be low, leading to icy conditions, posing a risk for both drivers and pedestrians. Some areas, especially in the north, may see light snowfall.
Roșca also noted that November is expected to be colder overall. According to the State Hydrometeorological Service, daytime temperatures will range from 0 to 3 degrees Celsius starting Thursday, while nighttime temperatures will drop to -3 to -5 degrees Celsius.
