Czech Republic contributes financially to the “Ajutor la contor” program in the Republic of Moldova
The Czech government will contribute 10 million Czech crowns to the government program “Ajutor la contor” in our country, which is about 400 thousand euros. The decision was handed over during the meeting between the Minister of Labor and Social Protection, Alexei Buzu, and the Ambassador of the Czech Republic to Chisinau, Jaromír Plíšek.
According to a statement from the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection, the goal is to support vulnerable households in the face of rising energy costs.
“The constant support of the Czech Government is a clear example of solidarity and cooperation between our countries, especially in this difficult period. This financial contribution will help reduce the impact of rising energy prices on vulnerable households in the Republic of Moldova. We continue to work together to improve the living conditions of our citizens,” said Alexei Buzu.
Since the launch of the "Ajutor la contor" government program in 2022, which provided energy compensation to households for three consecutive cold seasons, the Government of the Czech Republic has provided a constant financial contribution, the total value of support granted to date is 16.2 million lei.
