United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees is expecting a new wave of Ukrainians in European countries
The UN High Commissioner for Refugees, Filippo Grandi, has warned European countries of a possible new wave of Ukrainians fleeing the war amid pressure from Russian forces in eastern Ukraine, Agerpres reported.
Already more than eight million people have fled Ukraine as a result of the fighting, according to the UN, and another six million have moved to other parts of the Russian-invaded country.
Authorities in Ukraine have warned this week that Russian forces are intensifying their offensive to occupy the besieged town of Bahmut in the industrial region of Donetsk.
