Eurovision 2023: Who are the ten finalists who will compete to represent the Republic of Moldova in Liverpool
Ten singers continue to fight for a ticket to Liverpool, United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, where the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 (ESC) is to be held. The finalists were selected on Saturday 28 January following live auditions.
Here is the jury of the contest:
- Viola Julea, performer, choir conductor;
- Ion Chiorpec, head of Radio Moldova Music;
- Vasile Advahov, artistic director of the Advahov Brothers Orchestra, People's Artist;
- Liviu Știrbu, composer, People's Artist;
- Crudu Daniela, journalist Moldova 1 TV.
The participants will perform in the National Final on March 4, with a complete show, which will include the choreographic concept and stage costumes. The competitor or band that will score the highest points will represent our country in Liverpool, where the International Stage of the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 will be held.
The Republic of Moldova has participated in the International Eurovision Song Contest since 2005 and ranked sixth with the song "Bunica bate toba" performed by the band Zdob si Zdub. Their best result was in 2017 when SunStroke Project ranked Nb.3 with the song 'Hey Mamma'.
The two semi-finals will be broadcast live on May 9 and 11, and the Grand Final will take place on May 13, 2023.
