Simple motion against the Ministry of Health's activity failed
The simple motion against the Ministry of Health’s policies, initiated by the deputies of the Bloc of Communists and Socialists (BCS), was rejected by Parliament after more than three hours of debates. Ala Nemerenco addressed the lawmakers, highlighting investments in emergency units, the renovation of several operating rooms, the equipping of maternity wards, the revision and expansion of the list of reimbursed medicines, and other initiatives. The project was not even supported by some BCS deputies who had initially signed it.

The Minister of Health answered questions regarding the risks faced by healthcare workers, emergency services, public health, medical system funding, collaboration with international partners, and private medical institutions.
"Regarding private clinics, does the Ministry monitor cases of malpractice that may occur there as well?" asked BCS deputy Inga Sibova.
"The Ministry can launch investigations in cases of serious incidents. We have not been denied access to information or medical records, but we cannot simply enter, monitor, supervise their activity, or request dismissals or reprimands. We do not have that right," explained Ala Nemerenco.
"From the Ministry’s perspective, should we reinstate the rule requiring citizens to undergo a medical check-up at least once a year? Because, in reality, we only see patients when nothing can be done for them anymore," proposed BCS deputy Petru Burduja.
"Every year, we increase the prevention fund of the National Health Insurance Company, especially for measures that prevent illnesses," responded the Minister of Health.
At times, the Q&A session turned into an exchange of sharp remarks.
"How does the Ministry of Health collaborate with law enforcement? How is the record kept of patients who show aggressive behavior?" asked BCS deputy Diana Caraman in Russian.
"If you knew the language of this nation, you would have understood what I said earlier about mental illnesses for 15 minutes. And now you're asking me exactly what I already explained," replied the minister.
Besides answering questions, the minister also mocked the motion, particularly directing comments at its initiator, Vladimir Odnostalco, who was absent from the session.
"I came here to answer to the people. But allow me to ask you something—when will you present a report to those who elected you? What have you done? I don’t see my dear friend Mr. Odnostalco, who wrote such a poor, weak, and unprofessional motion. He should have asked me—I would have helped him make it better," said Ala Nemerenco.
The simple motion was initiated by 22 deputies from the Bloc of Communists and Socialists but was supported by only 17 of them. A total of 53 deputies voted against it.
