Soroca schools boost student entrepreneurship
Five vocational schools in Soroca received equipment and machinery worth over one million lei (~50,000 euro). This funding was provided through the "Start-Up Hub Network: Entrepreneurial Laboratories in the Northern Development Region" project.
The project aims to boost entrepreneurial culture by providing students with more modern practical spaces.
The project provided furniture, laptops, printers, a ceramic kiln, and various food processing equipment. Among the beneficiaries is the Soroca Vocational School. Now, students will have more practical hours.
"We are the future chefs, and with the new equipment, we're developing business ideas."
"We can now discover and experience the process of drying fruits and vegetables, an activity with significant economic potential and many benefits."
"They can use these skills to create products for sale, generating profit for the school and students," said teacher Valentina Chetrari.
Thus, vocational school students will be able to develop their entrepreneurial spirit and creativity to turn their ideas into successful businesses.
"This allows for the development of various business ideas, especially within the Entrepreneurship Basics course, which is crucial for fostering entrepreneurial spirit among our graduating students," said Ivan Luța, Director of Soroca Vocational School.
The Start-up Hub Network in the Northern Development Region supports young entrepreneurs by offering modern workspaces and resources for business growth. Among the project's beneficiaries are 21 residents of the Soroca Business Incubator, students from local educational institutions, and about 50 economic agents from the Soroca, Florești, Drochia, and Dondușeni districts.
