ANOFM support: Over 4,000 people found jobs since the beginning of this year

Over 4,000 people have found a job since the beginning of this year, through the National Employment Agency (ANOFM). Of these, 1,324 were unemployed, and 60 were hired for a period of up to three months, the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection (MMPS) reported in a press release.
“We are starting the year strong! We have already provided social protection to over 4,000 people in a few months, and we will continue to work to bring results and provide support to our citizens,” said Alexei Buzu, Minister of Labor and Social Protection.
The data shows that 35% of those employed are women, and 18 percent are people over 55 years old. At the same time, 40 people with disabilities, 19 migrants returned from abroad and six people of Roma ethnicity found a job.
These people were employed in various economic fields, such as: 29% – social and personal service activities; 17% – construction; 14% – agriculture; 10% – wholesale and retail trade; 9.4% – industry; 5% – public administration; 5% – health and social assistance; 4% – education; 1% – transport, storage and communications.
ANOFM recommends that job seekers contact the territorial employment subdivisions to receive employment support. The services are free and are available to both the unemployed and employed people who want to change jobs.
In 2024, 16,699 people were helped by ANOFM to find a job, which is about 25% of all unemployed people in Moldova were employed through the territorial employment subdivisions. In 2024, the authorities’ target is to provide employment support to 18,000 people.
