Road crossing the localities of Zaim and Sălcuța is renovated
The road crossing the Zaim and Sălcuța localities in Căușeni district is being repaired. This segment of road has not been rehabilitated for more than three decades. It is said to have deteriorated due to the traffic of heavy vehicles. Locals are waiting for the works to be completed soon so that they will no longer have to repair their cars.
The road between the towns of Zaim and Sălcuța in the Căușeni district has deteriorated considerably over the past 30 years. Demolition work is currently underway on the old road and the foundation for a new road is being laid. The work is expected to be completed by the end of next year.
Residents told us that so far the road was in a deplorable state.
“I saw that they were working. - But don’t you know why they are working? - I understand that they want to build the road and the sidewalk. I think it’s good, it’s necessary”.
“It was very problematic; big trucks are driving; it’s difficult. - Have you had problems with your car breaking down? - Many times”.
“*The cars, we lose a lot of quality in the cars, but it’s good that the road is repaired."
The workers have been on the site for a month and hope to finish the work promptly.
“We are working; we have materials, we have work to do. There is a lot of work. It is being done from Causeni to the whole Zaim”.
“We started; the deadline is two and a half years. We have to take out the old things and put in the new things”.
Several areas of the road require extensive repairs, as it has deteriorated due to heavy trucks.
“This road is a connecting road to the south of Moldova, it connects the districts of Ştefan Vodă, Bender, Causeni with the southern area of Cimişlia and it is quite busy, with heavy traffic”, said Sergiu Guțu, technical manager.
“Disorder, it is dangerous. We will repair 16 bridges”, said Alexandru Marinescu, team leader.
Repairing the seven-kilometer section costs 154 million lei.
