Rescuers share tips to prevent outdoor accidents

Traditionally, on May 1, many people choose to spend the day outdoors. To avoid accidents, fires, and other risky situations, specialists have developed several recommendations for those who prefer to relax on the grass, have picnics, or enjoy barbecues.

According to the General Inspectorate for Emergencies, fires should only be lit in designated areas. Metal grills must be used, and flames should be monitored at all times.

Lighting fires near forests, dry vegetation, or combustible materials is strictly prohibited.

Adults must not allow children to play with matches, wood, coal, or fire.

Another important aspect is having extinguishing methods readily available. Citizens are encouraged to keep water, sand, or a fire extinguisher on hand for quick intervention if necessary.

When participating in outdoor activities near water, adults are urged to remain vigilant and supervise minors closely.

In any risky situation, citizens should call the emergency number 112.
