Ursula von der Leyen: No hard deadlines for Ukraine's EU accession
There are no rigid deadlines for Ukraine's accession to the European Union, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen told the end of a summit in Kiev on Friday. She stressed that there are targets that Kiev must meet in its efforts to join the EU bloc.
On Friday, the Ukraine-European Union summit in Kiev was attended by top European officials who reconfirmed their support for Ukraine's EU accession process at a time when Russian attacks are intensifying in the east of the country, reports France Presse.
The last such summit took place in Kiev in October 2021 - several months before Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
