President Dan's Moldova visit: Stronger bilateral bonds
Romanian President Nicușor Dan arrives today, June 10, for his first official visit to the Republic of Moldova since taking office.
Moldovan President Maia Sandu will welcome him at an official ceremony at 1:40 PM at the Presidential Palace.
According to a press release from the Moldovan presidency, the visit "reaffirms the profound and special nature of bilateral relations – built on historical, cultural, and linguistic ties – and reflects the shared commitment to strengthening and expanding bilateral cooperation for the benefit of citizens on both banks of the Prut River."
Following their official meeting, the two presidents will hold a joint press conference at 3:10 PM.
During the day, Nicușor Dan is also scheduled to meet with Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu and Prime Minister Dorin Recean at the State Residence.
The official visit concludes this evening with Romanian President Nicușor Dan, alongside Maia Sandu, participating in the event "The Common European Future of Romania and the Republic of Moldova" at the Organ Hall in Chișinău.
Additionally, the leader from Cotroceni will grant an exclusive interview to Moldova 1, which will be broadcast live at 5:20 PM.
