Klaus Iohannis: Several support packages for Ukraine will be approved at the European Council
Several support packages for Ukraine will be approved at the European Council today, and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy will have discussions and meetings in limited formats with the leaders of the European Union countries.
The president of Romania, Klaus Iohannis, mentioned this before the start of the Summit in Brussels. "There are several important packages that will be presented by the European Commission in support of Ukraine. We will detail these things after they are clarified, the important thing is that after the Council plenary there will be meetings in restricted formats with President Volodymyr Zelenski. I will participate in the first group that meets with the president together with other heads of state and government and I will make an appropriate communication. Afterwards, I will reiterate Romania's support for Ukraine", said Klaus Iohannis. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky arrived in Brussels. He was met at the airport by the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen. To begin with, Volodymyr Zelensky decided to go to the European Parliament. There he met with the President of the European Parliament Roberta Metsola. The two honored the national anthem of Ukraine, then, after a discussion, they went to the European Council.
