After the appointment of the candidate for the position of prime minister by the head of state, he has 15 days to request the confidence vote of the Parliament for the activity program and the government staff.
The former judge of the Constitutional Court, Nicolae Osmochescu, explained in an intervention for Radio Moldova, the investiture procedure of the Government.
"The candidate for this position will request for 15 days the confidence vote of the Parliament, on the activity program and the nominal composition of the entire Government. The activity program and the list of the government are debated in the plenary session of the Parliament and this agreement gives confidence to the Government with the vote of the majority of the elected deputies. Based on the vote of confidence, the president of the Republic of Moldova issues a decree by which she appoints the Government and the prime minister", said Nicolae Osmochescu.
We remind that according to the legislation, the new government exercises its powers from the day on which its members individually take the oath before the President of the Republic of Moldova.
